Dub crazy!!!!!!!

lol, that's what was making me think it was a 3/4. both have the same gaps and I vaguely if Shannons was dropped with the 3/4, just saw it in the CT 05+ thread.

 

VERY nice 22's or 20's? I'm basing it off your build is why.

 

22's with the truck aired up

 

is that around the same height it would be with a 3/4 drop? any tire rub?

 

was on a custom rim site once and their assessment of the 05+ Tacoma fender well is 22" and you still have to factor in the tire size you will be using which gives you the overall diameter being used ... hope that makes sense. I have seen a lot of XR's with 22's and NONE have taken off their bodykit, but I do know that on them the rims are VERY close to the fender well. Almost tucking but not quite. Also for 22's or any rim, the width is about 9.5" (offset is that of a Accord, Lexus IS, Acura TL, RL, Ridgeline, etc.) no more or you will be rubbing or damaging the rim, hell I don't even think make a turn, well barely.

 

One of my buddies has a x-runner on 22's with no scrubbing.

 

i understand what your saying. it seems like it would be a tight fit but it would work. also the 22s im looking at are 8.5" wide and once i figure out which bolt pattern these trucks are ill know if the offset is either 20mm for the 5x115 bolt pattern or 35mm for the 5x114.3 bp. i know i know... im a newb at these trucks haha but ill get there

since there seem to be several x-runners on 22s it seems like there wont be a problem

 

heres what i got.. thanks to brian aka beefedtaco from streetacos.com he installed my djm 3'' arms, notched the rears with custom low pro bumptops and beefed 3'' blocks, 4x4 leaf springs, and qa1 rear shocks. should be getting my 1.5'' spacers for the fronts and bilstein front shocks. currently im at 3''/4.75'' i wish there was more aftermarket lowering options but everything has to be custom for now.. the wheels are 20x8.5 +38 offset and 20x10 +38 offset... rides like a caddy with the qa1's.. more mods to come in the near future! hopefully a paint job by the end of this year too.

 

nice that looks really good. and i have been looking at those same tails haha. do u have anymore pics of it and especially the wheels?

 

imo i think they are the best looking aftermarket tails for the 05+.. really good on the road because of how bright they are. the quality is like oem, i think the ebay seller is "zomkspeed".. here's a couple more i took after i installed them.

awesome thanks. i was wondering how bright those are and thats good to hear the quality is good. how close are the wheels to the fender line with that offset, do they stick out any?

 

thanks bro! as for the wheels, they sit almost flush i think i couldve gotten away with +20 - +30 offset to look really nice. the rears were stretched with 245/35 tires because i was scared of clearance issues but i have no rubbing at all. heres a side pic of the rears..
