I was having 2nd gen double-cab regret before you had a build thread, but I knew definitively that I had to have a 1st gen regular cab when you posted this photo on January 4, 2014:

Even though I can look out my front window at my 2 regular cab Toyota trucks, this still fills my heart with regular cab lust:

I have also had a recent muddy camping trip:

Those wheels/ tires look nice on your truck.
The front bumper appears to have the front end weighed down, can you adjust them up with the CO's?

    Looks good man.

Awesome regular cab! I'm putting my OME lift on later this week. Hopefully it'll look half as good as yours!

Haha, I'm glad you went for the best model too, first gen reg cab for the win.

It's not that the front bumper is weighing the front down, it's more that the aal in the rear with no weight is lifting the back up. There is no adjusting the OME coils so I'm usually just a stink bug driving around town.

Sweet, post some pics when you get it all up and running.

About 32.5", no rubbing whatsoever, even at full lock.

Finally started building a rear bumper, collected some parts
    IMG_2119.jpg

Cut some plate and decided on wheel placement

    IMG_2125.jpg

    IMG_2131.jpg

then, tried to bend some tube and...

    20161022_174613.jpg

    Just straight up shit...
Hydraulics exploded, 80's bender, Ultimate Warrior colors, fluid in every orifice i have or could ever imagine having and after 2 rebuilds later... still a no-go...
owner of the machine says she lived a good life, the funeral will be held on Sunday and I now feel an emptiness so...

a bottle or two of some single malt and an internet connection later and I am now the proud owner of my very own JD2 bender, just waiting on the man in brown to deliver and this shit show can continue...

    The shit show continues...

The bender showed up and I got to say, it felt like I was a kid at Christmas agin. I built a rolling mount for it using an old diesel engine stand and some 3/8ths plate and quickly got to bending.

Worked until it got dark, so hopefully all the tack welds hold up for a few days until next weekend when I'll have some time to finish it.

I was fighting a cold for most of the weekend so I didn't get as much done as I had hoped on the bumper but here are some progress pics...

I think we're getting snow on Sunday & Monday. Looks like you've got the most difficult shit done, though.

Thanks, this one is a much easier model to understand than that old One-Shot i borrowed, much more precise. When do you want to come over and finish your front bumper?

Probably after I get back from the Deid but I'm sure I'll check out your bumper this weekend.

Got Solo LT and 37s/beadlocks en route. Lining up spring projects. Going to Chevy 63 swap the rear - wondering if I should come up through the bed with the shocks - that tube bender could come in handy!

It was pretty cold out today but the sun was out so I figured it was a good day to put an end to this bumper saga.

    Main structure:

Quick gas can mount (going to add a locking top and a license plate holder once I get a weldable piano hinge):

Did the gas can mount just eff your departure angle or is it a weird camera angle?
