Don't forget the most important part of the job, Torque the lug nuts! Your rotors will thank you.

I've had bad experiences with Hawk Pads in the past. As far as stopping they worked just fine, but specifically my problems have always been with the backing plates. On my older car I ran them and shortly after the back plates came completely off and began gouging into my rotor hubs so I had to remove them. On my old S10 ZR2 I ran the Hawk LTS pads, which stopped well, however after a few thousand miles the back plates began deforming around the edges causing a lot of annoying squeaking due to rubbing with other components. I had to take them back out and trim away all the deformed metal around the edges. Just something to consider with the Hawks.

On my past vehicles, stainless brake lines have always greatly helped firm up braking. Might be worth looking into.

Just did the SS Brake Lines on mine this weekend. I'm carrying a Four Wheel Pop-Up Camper and I'm just about maxed out on weight. The SS lines made stopping like night and day. If I can feel it with the camper on I know it will be an amazing difference with it off. I have just over 60K on the truck and the front pads still had plenty of meat on them.

Mine are starting to squeak too. I had my rotors turned once before. I'm thinking about just picking up some aftermarket rotors and using a set of OEM pads.

    Has anyone done this... thoughts?

Ceramics have poor initial bite.....if ur looking for an upgrade, oem isn't the way to go.

Less dust, and less initial bite......give/take

As for rotors, I never had issues with brembo blanks.......premium rotors.

I'm not really looking for an upgrade, but aftermarket rotors are so cheap! It's almost worth just picking them up instead of paying to see if mine can be resurfaced again.

I was thinking OEM pads because I am worried about noise/chattering with aftermarket pads. I do like the lower amount of brake dust since I almost never wash my truck LOL
