3" lift. $10K in TRD options. Richie's semi-hidden bumper, and soon his Elka suspension
If he got the bumper, he would have called me by now to get his all-pro :D

    Don't think he's got it yet :(

Dude, i can't wait to see that bumper on your truck! Once i get my bumper, i'll have to have it sand blasted and powder coated before i can mount it on the truck.... I still need to grab a hawse fairlead and synthetic winch line for it as well...

I bet it's going to be a yearly event by the looks of things. I finally got my rig ready for a trip like that and what better way to kill off the rest of my warranty? I couldn't think of a better way to do it than by taking a 3700 mile round trip to Moab...

Yeah, I'd love to go this summer with everyone but sadly all the parts to get my truck ready have emptied my bank account and I wouldnt have money for gas, spare parts, or truck payments. But I will be penny pinching until next summer just so I can go. I'll even be sleeping in the truck just to save that extra money on a tent and sleeping bag

my warranty just expired yesterday on a road trip:(, i like warranties!

anyway i just moved to sudbury from ottawa and its looking like ardberg is a lot closer to me now so will be watching sontt closely for runs that head towards the sudbury direnction.

i will be in elora picking up a new leer 100 in a few weeks, probably the wknd after easter if anything is going on wheeling wise i'd be up for it. i had picked up a used leer 180 not knowing that it was not right for my reg cab (it is contacting the cab mounted brake light and rattle like nuts, wheeling would ruin it and the cab would get damaged), the guys there are taking care of it by ordering me a new 100 and giving me a good deal, makes up for the two 1000km road trips needed as best as possible.

my bumper and sliders look like rusty old pieces of shat after only one winter also, not impressed but that's what a local $100 dollar build for both got me. on a good note some retard bumped into the side of my truck, the slider saved a lot of body damage, there is still some but not what it would have been.

I figure it's going to be a fairly costly trip for me as well. I'm looking at an estimated $1000 in fuel alone... Thats on the high side tho and fuel is much cheaper in the States than in Ontario. I still need to grab some spare parts as well... (cv axle, ujoints, tie rod ends, etc etc.) Seems as if i might be sleeping in the truck as well quite a bit just to help save as well.... Unless i can convince a buddy to take the trip with me.

The trails open up at the beginning of May so i may plan a wheelin' trip near the beginning of the month sometime in Ardbeg. Definitely come on out! Shitty hearing about your cap issues tho but at least they are giving you a deal on a new one.

If you only had your sliders and bumper painted with regular spray paint i could have warned you it wouldn't last long with our winters. My rear bumper was spray painted as well and i didn't even get through a winter before it was showing rust. So i had it sandblasted and powder coated. Haven't had any issues since. Sliders FTW against idiot drivers tho lol.

the paint was some type of bedliner, very textured and appeared to be quite thick. guy swore by it saying it held up great but it doesn't at all. between that and the welding that looks like his apprentice did not overly impressed.. i will probably end up using a grinding wheel of some sort to get all that shat off and prime then re-bedline things.

Maybe look into a paint called POR15? I've heard really good stuff about it. Or consider PC? It's been hit or miss using a bed liner myself....

will check that out thanks. powder coating is off the radar for me, don't want to cut the sliders off the truck and and want to keep the cost low as possible, which means i'll likely get a couple more opportunities to repaint over the yrs!

Those damn rocks are always messing up our paint jobs eh? lol Did you paint over your POR15? I've heard POR can fade in direct sunlight... I plan on using it for my skids, probably have to sand blast them first tho.

Well there's your extra fuel costs! lol $1000 was a very rough estimate. Of course my truck will be loaded down with so much weight it won't even be funny... so it may be more or may be less... How far is drive you from PA?
