I've got a weekend project in mind involving doing something about my clouded headlights...(as well as a new battery install due to stupidity on my part:))

Anyways, I was wondering what the best product out there is that you've tried to get the job done. I don't feel like wasting my time with something if it just isn't going to work, so I figured I would ask...

    Thanks in advance.:D

My neighbor has a very neglected Taurus. I cornered him when he came home and asked if he was willing to donate his vehicle for product testing purposes. He had no problems. Said it was mine for whatever I needed. Sweet.

I used the kit from uglyheadlights on the above^. Its around 30-40 bux I think. Fwiw, those headlights lasted about 2 years, and they're starting to fade again. Imo, our headlights are relatively inexpensive. Unless you have a retro fit kit in them or some personal attachment, I would probably just suggest new(er) headlights for 100 bux.

I just use 600 wet then 1000 wet then 2000 wet and polish with an automotive polish using a buffer. A buffer is a good investment anyways so maybe this is a good excuse. Get a Porter Cable 7424 or something comparable.

In a recent survey, 4 out of 5 dentists recommended Colgate over other leading brands for polishing your headlights :)
Just make sure you use your wife's brush and not your own.

Yes toothpaste does work, depending on the severity though. Its worth giving it a try. Took me less than 5 mins to do both headlights to get these results. Probably could get a little better with more time. Here is my wife's old corolla that I did a few months ago.
