Well I feel like a fucking idiot. Took my truck to the shop to get it swapped out only to find out the bad news. I’ve been trying to get rid of vibrations after my lift.

Damn, that sucks. What did you install to get the lift?

I installed 5100s all around with OME 884 springs in the front. Have 1.5 inch blocks to lift the rear. I’m going to try some shims but if that doesn’t work I’m considering bringing it back to stock height. Love the look of my truck lifted but I’d rather have the truck function correctly over looks.

I hear you on that man. I'm gonna lift my truck this fall, hoping I dont have vibrations. If I do, I'll figure out how to fix them though. 4x2 here as well

Im getting a rumble strip kind of vibe on acceleration and deceleration at 20mph. After I pass 20mph it’s gone and the truck rides great.

Are the blocks installed correctly? Some blocks have the shims built into them, and when putting them backwards, it really fucks with the angles.

What sucks is in my quest to fix this I unknowingly bought the ECGS, just took it to a shop, just to find out it’s for 4WD. Feel like a complete idiot. They suggested trying UCAs but my alignment after lift met all specs.

willing to bet that the vibration is from your drive shaft. Did you get a carrier bearing drop/spacer kit?

My blocks were flat. They start with an angle above 2 inches. I have the Icon AAL too. Planning on getting rid of the blocks adding the AAL and shims. Praying that gets rid of it.

You're on the right path. The shims should take care of the vibes. If not, you can get some washers and space the center support bearing of your driveshaft down a little bit. Sometimes it just takes some trial and error to get the angles just right.

Oh and just as an FYI, ECGS stands for East Coast Gear Supply. They're an awesome company for anything gears related. They make a bushing specifically for tacomas that replaces the front drivers side needle bearing in the diff. So people just commonly refer to it as the ECGS bushing.

I just want to get my money back. I have the removal tool as well. It was $105 total. I can ship it to you for $115? Let me know. Otherwise I’m waiting on a return authorization from ECGS

Best way is to tie a string on the axle tube and trans output shaft. Then you can see what's misaligned and I bet it's the pinion angle so dropping the drive shaft center is rarely the answer

No thanks lol I don't need the tools, just the bushing. Go ahead and return it if you still can
