I have an 09 access cab 2wd. Whenever I do a search, all I get is that these trucks come with a standard bed, but my bed looks pretty short. It is 6ft long. How long is a short bed, and how long is a long bed?

I need this info to order a bed rug.

I've never seen an access cab short bed, this is from:

    http://trucks.about.com/od/2005pickuptruck1/a/05_tacoma.htm

"There are 18 different Tacoma truck configurations, based on three cab styles:

    • Regular Cab, with a 73.5-in. long bed
    • Access Cab, with dual access doors, tumble flat rear seats, and a 73.5-in. long bed
    • Double Cab, with larger rear doors and your choice of a 60.3-in. or 73.5-in. long bed."

So at 6ft, or 72-73 inches, its a standard/long bed.

So why does autoanything list the 6ft as a short bed???

What Toyota calls a long bed looks like a short bed when you compare it to what you'd find on a Ranger (7' bed)

LOL! So auto anything is going by what it looks like rather than what it is called by the manufacturer?

I did. Its 72-73 inches inside the bed. It was dark, so I couldn't see exactly, but it is right around 6ft.
