It's been flies and gnats here. I have a fan that runs all the time when I'm in the garage and it isn't enough to keep gnats from buzzing in my ear even with my welding hood on

We keep the house between 78 and 80, and we're in the literal middle of the desert. Our swamp cooler also allows is to turn the water on or off

Although when people come over, or stay a night or weekend, we typically bring it up to 73-74 cause it can be a bit cold for them :jerkoff:

Lived in the high desert of Nevada for just about 10 years. One room (winter living room) of the double wide trailer had the fire place. The other (summer living room) had the swamp cooler.
Nothing like crawling across a hot tin roof to try and fix it either.

My thermostat is set to 58 :anonymous:... but this is how I'm dressed to watch TV. I have two wood stoves so the central heat is just there to keep the pipes flowing. Having a woman around the house might change my ways though... I'm finding her mood is directly proportional to how warm it is

Yeah, my mom is anaemic (that's the thin blood, always cold one right?) so when it's even 77, she freaks out

Damn, y'all get cold too quickly

We only turned it up to 75 when our son was first born, only to turn it down more and more because low and behold the little dude sweats

Even at 73 degrees he'll sweat a little on the side he lays on (almost 6 months old now) and no we don't use any blankets on him for safety reasons

So thermostat is set to keeping him comfortable but he's like me, just gets hot way too easily

I've been looking real hard at those. Right now I have a little propane torpedo that at least keeps the hands warm. My problem is the garage is detached and the concrete pad is just a giant heat sink. This spring it took a solid two weeks before the garage caught up to the warmer weather... I'd open the door and it would be at least 20 degrees cooler than outside. Great for the garage beers though...

Use a Celica wheel; plenty of people have swapped their steering wheel from another Toyota model (there's threads on this, just search)

    It was 102 yesterday. 102.

Two weeks from today will be this year's big gas guzzling road trip. I was hoping for it to be jacket weather, not towing a pop-up sweat lodge for 3000 miles.

Damn that's way too hot, was 92 yesterday.

I'm just waiting for snow to drop again so I can take the little dude on his first snow trip.

There’s a thread here with steering wheel swaps (searching on my phone sucks)

But a lot of folks go with a Celica, MR2, Corolla, and a couple other black steering wheels that swap over.

I found the 1st gen Rav4 is relatively overlooked for this... almost identical to the popular IS300 but way cheaper if you find one. Also no stupid shift buttons and has a Toyota badge. Best steering wheel I've ever used, almost swapped it with my taco before I sold it but decided that would look a little funny to buyers.
