It will work if you are braking if you are in neutral lol.

I use it all the time to start the truck to let it warm up without having to hop in and press the clutch down.

All that button does is make it so you can start your truck without pushing in the clutch.

So once you start the truck then turn it off, you have to press the button again to make it work.

I use it all the time when working on the truck so I don't have to climb in and press the clutch to start it, I can just reach in and turn the key and it starts. Just make sure you're in neutral when you do, or the truck will jump forward.

And it could be easily created if you didn't have one by wiring in a switch to defeat the clutch switch. I use to install cruise controls and would wire to the clutch switch to kill the cruise so you wouldn't rely on the rpm cutoff circuit.

The factory clutch cutoff resets when you turn off the truck. This can also be recreated if you use a relay to cut the clutch and a momentary to trip the relay with an extra pole to keep it tripped.
