Now THIS is a good solution. Do you know what gauge the wire should be?

I don't offhand, but if you can get the stud out of the L-bracket wire, it will bolt right on.

*Not my photo, but almost 100% identical.

Thanks again! This will work cause it will give me some room to work with. I'll just crimp cut the wire and crimp the new connector on and attach to this.

Oh and dude that posted and deleted his comment was wrong. It's not soldered to the L bracket. It's crimped ( I can feel it) and heat shrinked on, so I shouldn't have a problem there.

If you have the OE clamp part, the L-shaped copper thing is not bad. Just pry it apart from the bottom copper part. I know you said you tried but it will come apart. Man up, chisel, hammer, 5 min, done.:D

It's not about manning up, I'm sure I can break it loose one way or another, but this is my only ride to and fro work at the moment is this truck, so I'd like to not break it to where it isn't salvageable. At the moment, it's sketchy, but working.

The battery cable sizes are usually 0AWG or 2AWG

The ring ends are found using the term Lug.

You can purchase 0AWG lugs at Auto parts store and crimp them on.

Good news is that Amazon offers same day delivery for Hydraulic crimper.

I also found a splicer kit that would fix you issue. Modified my post to include that option

Thanks a bunch for all of your help man. I knew I came to the right place with this issue. I just went out and did break the L piece loose from the rest of the terminal and it didn't fall apart. I applied a lot of coca cola and that got most of the corrosion off. So I'm hooked back up OEM style for now with a little bit of corrosion just on the L piece. I've bought some time though. Thanks for taking the time to read the whole post thoroughly and make useful suggestions! Lots of info and knowledgable people here!

Did you pry the tabs back on the terminal? I doubt it’s fully corroded to each other.

    Nm just read your update

Get the batter terminal from sdhq. That's what I did. Then disassembled the factory terminal and connected to the sdhq terminal. Unless I'm missing something. Might still have to wait for it to ship if you're not in AZ though.
