This couple of days has been raining a lil bit

I have the TRD Sport with no a-trac just the mechanical LSD on my truck with Stock Dunlop AT20, since it started raining, I saw a lot of decrease on the grip of the back tires, i dont have any weight on the bed, and Im wondering if is the POS stock tires, or is it my LSD, it wont last a lot, just when accelerating from a Stop, of course i control it with less gas, but just wondering....

My guess is it is a combination of lack of weight in the back end with the stock tires.

It snowed on Monday and I gotta say those Dunlop AT20s suck. I see on Tire Rack they rank 63 out of 66. I can't imagine there is a worse tire. Shame on Toyota for putting such a crappy tire on a great truck. Sorry. Rant over.

completely agree with you, i just hit 16000 km on the odo (about 10k miles) and i can see the thread is not too deep....

Also, every damn time, on dry pavement, when I make a U turn or almost any turn i notice the tires screech a lot, even at the slowest speed.....

I have the same tires on my 06 DC with 30000 kms and they suck also, what do you guys recommend for a new tire, I'd like something with a good lug for winter yet still good on the highway.

    thanks

Bridgestone A/T revos or BFG A/Ts are two good choices. I have run a couple of sets of BFGs and love them.

It's the tires. There was a world of difference when I replaced mine Dunslops after only 8K miles.

I drove my truck in the snow a few weeks ago (4 to 6 inches) and the dunflops are the worst tires I have ever had on any of my trucks. I honestly think the summer tires I had on my old X-Runner where better in the snow.
