    Seriously! These tires are horrible in the snow. Not just people here on this forums opinion, but go and look at reviews of these tires. They SUCK!

    Yeah, they were bald with only about 30k on them. Got some cheep all terrains after that and they are amazing! and the wider tire looks so much better

    Yeah, got some new tires when i had a flat, although apparently these tires can handle nails pretty good, the flat one had 3 nails in it and my other front tire had 2 in it. But i also got the flat as soon as i moved into a brand new neighborhood :eek:

    Here is my L/F Dunflop just a few weeks ago. They lasted well but this is the last season for them.

    Just took mine off at 13,800 or so, they look fine. They would spin in the wet but otherwise worked ok for my 2.7 5 speed PR. I found a good place to put them--my '98 Exploder. They are a size up from the stock 235-75 x 15s, they seem to ride better, it's automatic 4 wheel drive with a rear limited slip, so I don't think they will be spinning on it. And I have some new Yokohamas and TRD sport wheels that look a lot better than the poverty steelies....:)

    Stock AT20's are fine if you only drive on dry pavement.

    Other than that, they are the worst hydroplaning tires I've ever driven on. I would not recommend them.

    I should not complain too much about these tires, I got 45,000 miles on them. But as others said, it is noticable as they start to wear out. I get most of my miles on the highway. They def spin in rain and snow with a soft foot. But 45,000 really ain't bad. Now I have Wrangler RT/S and am much happier with them.

    Worse tire I have ever seen or used. Came stock on my 05 4wd. Could never get them balanced out. three differant times thought my teeth were gonna rattle outta my head. Hydroplaned several times. Chunks of tread coming off at 18k. Got rid of them. CRAP CRAP CRAP:goingcrazy:

    Hit or miss on longevity on these. Some get over 40K miles out of them, mine were at the wear tabs at 13K miles. So they don't last long at all in some cases. They really are the cheapest tire that exists which is why they get put on with new vehicles. Standard new car procedures. We've got them on our '10 Highlander and I can't afford to replace them. Have to live out the winter with the ABS kicking in at EVERY stop sign when there's snow/ice on the road, whereas my Taco won't kick in the ABS no matter how fast I stop (because I'm not running the Dunflops).

    But if the OP doesn't drive on snow/ice and drives very, very cautiously/slowly in the rain, he's not going to notice the lack of traction (until an emergency situation exists). It wasn't until I replaced various tires with others that I realized how bad the previous set was. Just like when I switched from the BFG Rugged Fails to the BFG AT KO. That pointed out exactly how little traction on wet/dry pavement the Rugged Fails actually got.

    By far the worst tire Ive ever had. They came on my 2009 DC 4x4 and they would hydroplane worse than anything. They almost cause me to wreck a few times in the rain and the snow. They also were bald by 24,000 miles.

    So far my factory tires are great. I'm not much off a hardcore off road guy, I mostly use 4wd in the woods, to get fire wood and such. However, I am putting money away for new tires. I feel the performance of the factory tires in the winter weather may not be what I am used to. I hope they are great in the snow, I really don't want to buy new tires.

    I have these tires on my 2011 dc v6 auto sr5 4x4 and they have been just fine for me on snow, I live in MN so they see plenty of it. I was looking for reports on how these do on rock trails, puncture resistance etc. I'm heading to the desert sw this Spring.
    I have liked the tires so far, but they only have 2500 miles on them.

    Definitely good advice, especially with unknown opinions (Internet). My personal experience though was that the AT20s sucked in wet conditions. I had to light-foot around any corner or curve to keep the backend tracking. Got tired (no pun intended...) of that and replaced them with a set on Yokohama HT/S's. NOTE, another highway tire, not an AT. Difference was night and day for me. No more wet road light-footing necessary, just normal care. I replaced the AT20s with another highway tire and would not go back, nor would I recommend keeping the AT20s.

    But, YMMV !!

    I think they will make a wonderful summer, highway tire, perfect for the family minivan...I got my Tacoma on Saturday, and I live in the mountains, in snow and ice conditions. They are coming off as soon as my new rims arrive, so I can mount a set of studded snow tires. I save the snow tires off my last truck, since they had less than 1,000 miles on them.

    As OEM tires go, they seem about normal for wear and handling, but traction in snow and ice is MISERABLE...the stock tires on my wife's Mazda 3 five door lasted 16k to tread bars, I got 24k out of the stock tires of my Dodge Ram 2500...

    We have to remember that tires are part of the vehicles suspension and like other elements, need to be tuned to the conditions experienced.

    My 4 cylinder extracab came with these. They were OK when brand new but obviously were pretty pathetic in the snow. On dry pavement they were fine and rode nice and smooth and quiet. But by 17k miles when the second winter rolled around they had to go. I replaced them with pretty tame Michelin's which I ran for about 60k. Once those got to about 40% tread they were useless too and I installed General Grabber AT2's which is what I should have put on in the first place. Those rocked in the snow and wore great. Of course they were a bit louder on the highway and my mileage went down slightly. The TRD I have now has rugged trails on it. For a stock tire I'm quite impressed with those. But when they wear out I'm going to the Generals again.

    I'm not a big fan of mine... Living in Northern Canada, we get quite a bit of snow, and these tires SUCK in the snow, plain and simple. On dry roads, highways, etc... Not a bad tire IMO. Quiet, decent mileage, and terrific tread wear. I've got about 40K on mine, and they're still in decent shape.

    All that being said, this summer I'm shopping for something different.

    Unconsciously I am trying to wear them down quickly so I can justify spending $ on an upgrade...or maybe it is consciously...
