Tried it, it sucked. My flares now have streaks and shit. I'm probably going to paint them someday.

I painted mine with Rustoleum Bed Liner from Walmart. IMO, paint is the way to go.

Your flares are a high density plastic. Not vinyl or fabric.

Use primer and plastic specific paint.

This is true. I should rephrase my original answer with "I used a plastic dye".
Forever black. Not good. I would like to try Show Room New Dye sometime though.

That Duplicolor Vinyl and Fabric dye would be a horrible option for fender flares too.

Alright thanks everyone for inputs...I was debating on this or buying a set of flares on here and bedlining them!...might go that route!

I would like to know how this paint works for interior plastics and carpet. I have sold some, but never tried it.

If it's vinyl or fabric just make sure it's clean (the former you can wipe down with duplicolor prep wipes) and then spray.

It absorbs the dye and makes it permanent.

Does it work good, or does it look splotchy like someone tried to spraypaint carpet? Ive used straight spray paint on carpet and the Krylon Fusion plastic paint, but never the duplicolor.

I've never used it on fabric or carpet so I can't speak to that. I'd imagine it would stiffen the fabric considerably.

I just used it on the vinyl armrest and rubber/vinyl bumper valence and the stuff works amazingly for those applications. The finish is perfectly even.

I have done a few cars with this. Preping is the key. sand interior parts, clean, spray bulldog (paint adhesive), then spray the paint.

for carpet I always have it cleaned before i spray it.

holds up well if you do it right, if you dont it will chip and look like azz

K&N drop in filter, Flowmaster cat back, Bilstein 5100 series (front set on middle setting for leveling purposes).
I'm in the process of painting mine with the Duplicolor Bumper paint. They look good so far (kind of a satin to flat color). I'm going to hit them with a couple of more coats and will post pics.

I am debating on using Plasti Dip, Dupli-Color bumper paint, or dye.

I want this to look new again...

The duplicolor vinyl and fabric dye will not only make it look new, but it's permanent.
