I need advise on duratra tires. I can get e rated tires but don't know if that is a good move. Is there a. If difference between c and e.
    Thanks.

Sorry but I need replies soon.

E rated tires are a 10 ply tire while C rated tires are a 6 ply tire. E rated is overkill for our trucks. The tacoma's towing and load carrying capacities won't come close to the maximums on a C rated tire.

E rated tires are gonna be heavier, eat more gas mileage due to that fact, and have a stiffer ride. The benefit is a super thick side wall and tread so you'll be less likely to get a puncture from a rock when you air down.

LT tires are overkill for this truck to begin with. The p-metric tires are already rated well above the weight of the truck plus payload capacity. Really the only reason to get LTs is for a stiffer, stronger sidewall for offroading.

I have e rated nitto trail grapplers and they suck power and mpg but they are super strong. Its really what you want from the tire, if you never off road don't get e.

I would be willing to bet 75% of duratracs owners in the US have them solely for looks.

Where did you get that this sounded like an emergency?
Could have been more descriptive, I agree... but hover
the cursor over the title and you can see what he needed
    without going into the thread.
My post count is also very low, here, but it's pretty high
over at the Diesel forums... got rid of the Duramax for
the Tacoma. E-rated tires are all I have bought for years,
but don't know that I will do that on this truck, seems to
    be overkill.

The difference is that the E load tires weigh a shit ton and will rob hp/mpg, especially if 4 cyl. You can only get E load for certain size rims. There are no C load duratracs in 18". On the other hand, if your truck is primarily and offroad vehicle then E load would be good to protect against punctures.

I would have if they were available. I went with hankook. So far I like them. I just had about 45k on the originals.
