Got a fair amount of snow over the last 24+ hours....ranging from about 8 inches in some parts of town to over a foot. My area was in the 10-12 inch range.

Finally had a real reason to throw the Duratracs on the ol' Prerunner. Overall I'm happy with them. Got me around when not too many 2WD pickups were out, though I did see quite a few stuck. Found the best setup, just like my previous Tacos, was to turn on the LSD and leave the stabilty-control on. I never got stuck, even in some really deep stuff yesterday where it was 15". Sorry no pix of that. Too busy focused on driving and staying away from all the idiots in SUVs.

Oh, BTW....no extra weight in the bed either. I know some people shovel a few hundred pounds of snow in the bed for weight. I don't because I don't want 100 gallons of water in the garage the next day. o_O

Here's a few shots from this morning.

In front of the house. Street had been plowed once....so not too bad here.

Took her out in some fresh snow. I measured about a foot here.

Skid plate makes a good snow plow. A-arms? Not so much . Was not stuck though.

Safely back home. Wife out playing with kids, wondering WTH I'm doing.

I've never owned a 4x4, despite living in the Midwest. I just wish I had shot from yesterday. I was down in a culdesac where my in-laws live. There were 2+ foot drifts and about 15" on the ground there. Rooster-tails all the way up that hill with the traction-control off, baby! :burnrubber:

A few times I killed the "trac/stb control" all together. Walls of snow behind you for as long as you want!
