I'm looking at a Leer XQ canopy here in Vancouver and it will run me $3195 taxes in with keyless entry.
The same canopy will cost $2,114 after exchange in Washington state.

Would I have to pay duty on that bringing it over?

These are the guys I bought it from.

It is for a DB long box. I don't have it yet as it takes 2 to 3 weeks to order. Once I have it I'll post up some photos.

    What did you pay?
Also what are you planning to do with it bringing across the border.

I dont think yo pay duty on items that are built in mexico or usa according to nafta.
Let me know what you decide.

What kind / color truck do you have

Truck is a 2008 Double Cab TRD Sport, dark blue.

hey, I also purchased one and plan to bring it over but i just want your reasoning for not declaring it. how you think you will get away with it, when it will be obvious in the picture.
im hoping you have more info on border crossing then i do

Just declare it. Worst case is that they make you pay the GST and PST. You're still saving a grand.

I got 'caught' trying not to declare a brand new pair of tires I bought for my previous truck that I bought and had installed on my truck in the usa. Not a fun experience and a huge waste of time. I had to pay the taxes and a fine. Just declare it, taxes need to be paid.
