DV8 off-raod rear bumper and high clearance hitch Q

Hi All-

Hopefully a quick one. I got tired of the rear bumper on my 2020 SR5 from getting smashed in my garage so I got the following bumper:

The guy *said* it worked with the factory hitch but it definitely does not.

I'm considering adding a high clearance hitch but I'm not sure it can handle much towing. (15' boat) Does anyone have experience towing with a set-up like this and if so, can it handle it?

 

You know you don't have a lot of confidence in your product when you're selling a trailer hitch, but make sure to note in the description that it's "not rated for towing"

15' Jon boat? - Sure. Beyond that, I'd have to see this thing mounted up in person.

 

Totally agree. The bumper is 3/8" steel but it does not feel right. Sigh.

 

The description states, “Not rated for towing”. That said, I have an RCI High Clearance bumper that is also “not rated”, however, I would feel confident that the hidden receiver hitch would handle anything that the OEM hitch receiver would.
