Curious if anyone has mounted a RotopaX (or any other t-slot compatible accessory) on this rack. I'm planning to mount some up there and wasn't exactly sure how I should go about it. Im currently leaning towards attempting to flip the cross bars upside down (not sure if anyone has tried this) to create immediate access to the t slots. If that doesn't work I plan to jerry rig a mounting plate for the RotopaX mount.

I put same roof rack on and didn’t have to cut any bars they had to for me in order 5-1 from the back. As far mounting I am using t-bolts or m8 nuts. You could grind down carriage bolts and they lock nice into the rail but the m8 nuts worked for me

Mine had crazy wind noise. And the air dam had to be modified so it didnt tap on the roof at highway speeds. Sold that POS.

    sure looked cool though.

OP, thanks for letting me know about this roof rack. Nice pics, too! Seems like a solid entry level / budget to value rack. I've added it to my running list of roof racks for those that are interested. Good to know about this one!

The cross bars should be mounted with the slots up and they are numbered 1-5 if you go back to front perfect fit no noise no vibrations. How I mounted things were m8 nuts (square nuts that slide into the track) I did do a few things when putting it on I left everything really loose and tightned each allen head one at a time different places. I also used this like door trim that came with it I cut it in half evenly and put it under the bottom of the long bars in the middle, that made non of the roof bars touch the roof it also keeps any vibrations away. I would recommend buy better quality screws for the side rails they like to strip quick. ( I ordered a bunch of black hardened steal torque) screws to replace the chrome ones. It’s a
Okay Rack for what you pay. I only plan to mount a few roto cans, I have a gas and water now and a supply one coming (black gas can that folds) there mostly going to be for back up gas and water and some first aid stuff for camping and when i take my son dirt dirt biking. It’s only rated for a 100 pounds
Hope everyone is doing great. D608FABF-E393-4126-AA30-17A181D4B172.jpg28679DA6-F4D9-4A54-AB7C-8DD2A0F683FE.jpg

Possible to install on 2nd gen dcsb? This is the rack I like but everyone I've asked officially says it is exclusively for the 3rd gen

How did you mount your awning? I just bought a Rhino 270 and I've not seen anyone really have any info on it. Much light the rest of the install, I was planning on spitballing it lol. Like everyone else who's attempted to add things to it, it took a bunch of trail and error, Amazon returns and adjusting to get it right haha.

I had the same rack on my Tacoma , I didn’t need to cut any rails , I believe he had to cut one because when you lay them they have a shape to them. I laid everything out on the ground They is a order. I know no instructions, but it was front to back small bigger in middle and small again. No cutting needed. I didn’t use the dv8 hardware cheap and stainless. I used everbilt deep allen heads, no issues with roof rack. I did on the most center panels add doulbe faxed think felt to the bottoms so with heavier weight it stopped the vibration, I recently took If off my 2019 and put on a 2021 my son wanted ,
The only thing different I did was wear it bolted into the roof of the truck use 1/2 spacers and longer bolts. It gave it a higher clearance. My son races mx 2 different classes so we are making a dirt bike rim rack for it. I should of used the spacers and I also cut the 4 ends of the weather strippeing and siliconed on so you can’t tell it was removed. That’s it on my truck, on his looks much better. And baja made us a light bar that we didn’t have to use the added brackets like on mine. All and all for a inexpensive rack it’s worth it. dv8 isn’t the best help they had no idea when I called about cross bars being different sizes. As far as my truck so far we have 2 sides and front cut out of a water jet cnc machine. (I used dimensions from dv 8 for measurements of sides ) expect walls are a little higher and front has kind of a half pipe shape. Going to use 6 prinsu rails, but we are making them slidable, as for the back any ideas I’m open, I do have a custom baja led 3rd brake light. So I would like to make a solid back panel to flush mount a ir follow me light. A green follow me light. As well as mini leds. The parts are raw steel right now. Once I make back panel I’ll send pinsu rails and raw metal to powder coated.

King Gp, This rack should be tottally off by end of April the cross bars have came, I didn’t go with prin, I found a guy in North Carolina who made me 3 3inch wide bars with built in l brackets. And one 6 inch wide cross bar (plate actually ) we have each side cut out on the cnc water jet. I’m going to box in the back to sink a custom baja ir follow me light and a green follow me light in on 4 inch bar, with amber mini LED’s. If my old rack is still in descent shape I’ll shoot you my email, you could have have, anything can work if you want it to, lol I do recommend using 1/2 inch spacers for mounting the side plates. With 1/8 rubber gasket glued to each side of the spacer it stops vibaration. For the front I’m going to use a kc flex bar that is yellow white. Triple switch off yellow/ white and ful on yellow and white. For a windshield I have used some hardware from rhino , had a price of 1/2 clear scratch proof acrylic wind deflector that will touch the roof of the truck and go up and over rack. With it being clear light bar will shine right through it . I did add the front and rear diff breather kit. I really don’t think a front is. Needed. I did a rear because I use it to put jet skies and jet boat on the boat ramp.
If my old roof rack is still solid . Your welcome to it, for free, I’m in michigan I could ship it to you prepaid. Right now I’m at end of April for everything back and powered coated. I don’t wanna make promises I can’t keep but if all goes well it’s yours for free. Just pay it forward to someone else one day. I’ll send the hardware I used and the spacers. I don’t see why it wouldn’t work on your taco. My raptor we just cut sides down from a rack we liked. It only has a steel wind deflector, a 2 inch front bar 6 inch plate and a 2 inch bar on back with a flat panel as well to lock 2 back sided together. If you still need a roof rack or anyone does want one that has been modified a little, (all for the better lol) and mine is all day for my April trip I’ll post , don’t want money for it.
    God bless
