Idk.. maybe 16". I think that's what you did. It's just hard for me to see how the wheel wells and lines in the bed will line up.

I didn't cut anything.. I just pulled the front axle out. Gonna try and put the new one together today. I forgot I had a test today so now I'm studying..

I would highly advise to pick up a laser level for pictures. I hung it from the ceiling and it gave me a perfect straight line over the wheel well. I'll go through my pictures when I get off work and see what I can find

    I looked through your build..

Can't be that hard.. I'll probably go for it once I get everything back up and running

Nope.. haven't wanted to because the paint is still good and idk what I would do besides a black stripe and I don't really like the look of them.

    Starting to not care

I feel you there. I cut up my bedsides on the tacoma in a way that wouldn't require me to weld on them. But if you ever want to bob now is the time to do it. You should really do it before you dovetail. It will be a bitch to do it the other way around.

I'd do both at the same time.. Bob it and then bring it in.. It's not a top priority. Just brainstorming..

I say go for it. It's free, just takes a little time. And it adds some character that makes it more unique. Plus it really proves its worth on tight trails.

Yeah it'd be nice to not screw the bed up right off the bat..

I like the full bodied look with an exo like yours.

5.29s, locker, high steer, move axle 5/8" forward, and new RUF pack.

What I should have done to begin with!

And I got a good start on getting the front hanger in. One side is cut off and ground to fit.. Accidently cut a tad high so I'm gonna try and get the other side better so the weld will look better!

Got my front hanger welded up. I went 1/2" forward and the shackle is just perfect along with the lift height.

Probably overkill going all the way across the front, but I was having fun with the welder.

    Up close of welds:

Just because my buddy said this spot was hard to weld good:

My overhead welds turned out as good. The best overhead I've ever done..

Really this welder seems so forgiving. It just welds good.. I freaking LOVE it.

Tried maxing out the duty cycle and couldn't get it to.

Threw the high steer on the old axle for mock up and stuck it under the truck

    Looking about right I reckon

5" of separation between the tie rod and drag link.. I may go another 1/2" forward..

Ajohnson you wanna measure the horizontal separation between you tie rod and drag link for me?

I had plenty of room so I'm moving the axle another 1" forward on the springs

    I forgot lol..

I went out and did what flexing I could with the jack and it seems like it's gonna clear fine.. Mo where near close to touchin anywhere but I still had about 2" of uptravel..

I'm gonna throw the flat arm on the box and get it where I want it and then clamp it down and I'll find a way to fully cycle the suspension to make sure I'm good..

It almost sucks having so much flex :D

I found this pic, it's not great but can kinda see my clearance, plenty and of course the tie rod/axle swing back a bit when compressed with leafs.

Here yah go, couple more I found. Only problem I had with the box this far forward is having to clearance the core support because of where that hydro ram fitting is on the front of the box.
