Don't mean to hijack, but I've been having an issue with my driver's side ebrake lever (mounted on the outside of the drum) sticking and unable to return to the resting position under it's own power/return spring. Noticed the boot over the mechanism was packed full of clumpy, white, chalk-like crap. Any ideas as to wtf it is or what to do about the ebrake issue?

No, I was running the stock asin.

Mine was the same way. I was missing the actual cable and bracket on the frame so I me er worried about it. I always threw a big rock behind my tire or just parked a tire against a tree lol

Yeah I don't have an e-brake anymore! Just find a flat spot and hit 4-LO 1st gear or park against a tree..

I've gotta get rid of this carb.. I may try to work on it a little more & get it running better on hills. I wanna put a 20r head on it with propane.

I might try to disconnect the driver's side if I can't get it working again, I don't trust my transmission enough not to use it when I park. Primarily a DD, would be awkward to carry a couple rocks around with me and stick them under the tires in the parking garage at work haha.

Send the carb my way if you get rid of it. Wouldn't hurt to have spare parts. There's a local guy running propane on his yota, I can get you in contact with him if you have questions.

I have a summit valve next to the MC. It's pretty easy to do.

Line lock was also suggested to me

That's my plan. Just haven't had the money to drop on the extras lately. I'll get it all worked out.

    Quick problem:
High steer feels real weird to me. It's almost loose feeling and when I turn it's like I turn a little and it does nothing. Turn a tad more and I'm almost in the ditch. Rear locker pushing me around? My buddies does the same. I think it takes more turns to get to full lock now, but it's just weird. Makes on road uncomfortable. Granted I have about 2 miles of onroad driving & about 2 miles of high speed dirt roads.

    Feels great offroad.

    Dual fuel or straight pane?

That steering doesn't sound fun. How is the caster angle? My 87 was pretty twitchy and liked to wander with laid back shackles and not much caster. I have a lot more caster with the rock assault housing and longer shackles, that helped a lot.

Straight pane. It's not my DD anymore and if I wanna drive it somewhere I'll have two tanks mounted so hopefully about a 250 mile range total.. I think I'll be happy with it. The simplicity is gonna be nice!

Yeah I think it's the small tires & rear locker pushin me around.. We'll see how it does once I get some bigger meats on here!

Sweet, I think you will love it. Mike's green '82 runs great on pane.

I know I'll love how it is on the hills.. I can't wait!

Just really need some tires now.. Fiances birthday is next week and then it's Christmas. So it looks like it'll be after the first of the year.

I've got to get new trailer tires & fix the trailer brakes before I get tires too..

Propane still isn't on. The stock carb base I got was missing some throttle linkage parts and I don't have the plastic spacer that goes between the carb and intake. There's a local guy that has all the parts I need, but he is freakin' expensive and I really just don't have the extra money right this minute.

I've literally worked 2 days since the week before thanksgiving so I'm broke. I haven't had time to mess with with the truck because we're remodeling my parents house and the shop is full of wood and saws & we've been working daylight to dark every single day. Plus, Bekah and I found a place, which I'm pretty excited about.

Hoping things will pick up after the first of the year. I passed my EMT national registry the other day and I'm waiting on my state license to come back. There's a job opened up as an EMT in the ER that I REALLY want while I'm still in school.

I've just been riding with Will whenever I get a chance.

    Busy, busy, busy.
