I think 39.5" Iroks is too big for me.. though it is a good deal with allied beadlocks.

The rockers aren't a terrible deal, but I'd have to find some 17" beadlocks rims and that could get expensive..

17" steelies and TMI weld on's. That's my plan unless I come across a set of racelines.

I'm trying to spend around $1500 on rims and tires so I'll be buying used for sure.. but I REALLY want beadlocks so I'm factoring that in.

Headed to buy a MIG welder hopefully this week.. Tired of trying to stick or TIG everything.. Makes it so hard sometimes

Just spring for those 39.5's man. You get beadlocks and come in $$100 under budget even if you can't talk him down some more. You're going to want to step up in tire size eventually so why not just get what you want from the start.

39.5s are HUGE and I'm really really low.. like I barely have any lift at at.. I don't see how I can fit em without throwing away the bed and fenders

I think I'm gonna have to notch my frame to make room for the nut on top of the flat pitman arm..

I'm trying to stay real low on 37s..

They really aren't as big as you might think. Mine measure 38.5". I rolled them up to my old 82 before I sold it and I could have made it work. It was at ~26-27" frame height. What's yours?

I'll measure when I get my front springs in..

I'm going from a 6 pack OME/RUF to a 4 pack RUF and I went from 3rd Gen OME to 2-leaf Chevy 63s... also running the Sky Low Pro front hanger

I have a lot of wheel b.s., if I try to fit 39.5" I will have to cut a lot more front and rear (more of a bitch with the 4Runner). Up front I would have to either cut my bumper and fenders up to the corner light, or tub the firewall.

I thought I could get away without notching my frame for the pitman arm TRE, but I need to bumpstops my springs right at flat spring to keep my TRE from hitting... SMH.

Looks awesome! Congrats on the engagement and on passing the basic emt training. The national registry is a piece of cake! What's next for the truck? I finally picked up my tranny for 3rz swap

Hopefully finishing up the rear today and putting the bed back on this weekend..

Then it's finishing up the front axle rebuild and doing high steer..

A cage and seats/harness will.be after that then dual cases.

    Then a motor swap.

That's going to be one solid rig, what motor swap will you be doing?

Fuck yea dude. Our buddy finished his 3rz swap in his 1st gen runner recently, it's pretty sweet.

My buddy put a 3rz in his 1st gen and its pretty sweet..

He swapped the whole dash so it made the wiring virtually non-existent, but it cramped the cab really bad.. I can let sit in the passenger seat without my knees hitting the dash and barely fit in the driver.

So I would be keeping the 1st gen dash and wiring it in, which will suck.. bad..

But for now I need to get off my lazy butt and finish the rear..

    Finished the rear..

Still gotta throw the bed on when I can get some help.

The rear locker is AWESOME! Even in 2wd!

Wait till you get one in the front too.. You'll be surprised where that truck will be able to go
