Michigan's screwed up, that's for sure. Some of the stuff that goes on here begs the question,,, go figure? I have to laugh at your post though, we don't have a Pima county in Michigan. I think there might be one in Arizona though.

    did they tip you?
Why not, they expect tips for the same service, and clearly you are more qualified at the job then they are?

Yes this is a real bummer. I took my gf to the hospital and valet parked. We waited about 30 minutes to get the car back in the middle of the night. Turns out only one person could drive the manual. That was about 2 years ago and I didn't really think about it since.

2 weeks ago I went to a restaurant with my boys. While waiting to be seated, I poked my head out the window and noticed the Taco sitting there by the edge of the driveway and street. 5 minutes later traffic was clear and the truck was still there. I walked out and went up to the teenage driver and said 'can't drive a manual'? I was thinking WTF why even try. Was he trying to figure it out on youtube? I said I would park it. Pulled it right up on the curb in front of the restaurant, locked it, and took the keys inside.

Last weekend I went to park again, this time in a different manual car. Before I got out I asked if he could drive a manual and he said no. I parked it right in front without issue.

Pretty frightening 'professionals' cannot or will not learn.

Seriously, in the day and age that you can learn anything off the Internet in under five minutes, and no one can figure out how to move a manual transmission car?

LOL, YouBoob can't teach "feel", think about, driving a stick is as much about tactile feel as when you felt your first boob.

I guess these farms where you can go and learn about the frontier experience, will need to squeeze driving a manual in right between milking a cow and churning butter. Or perhaps right after weaving class.

I just got my windshield replaced on Friday. I just pulled it out in the driveway and he showed up, replaced the glass and then I parked back inside the garage. I thought nothing of it. Later, a second person showed up to recalibrate the camera system. He asked me to leave it in the garage. So I did and went back inside, said it would take 20-30 minutes. Then I hear my truck turn on, then off, back on, then off again, and then he called me, ha. Asked me to come out and start the truck so it would stay running, smh. He was a younger looking kid, mid-twenties maybe? After that he then asked me to move it to another spot on the street because he couldn't drive a stick. I always run into someone like that every couple of years. The last one was a car wash. The person I gave my keys to looked confused when they got in the drivers seat, paniced and then grabbed a co-worker who could drive, ha.

It should be mandatory training if you are going to work in the auto industry.

I always like a good boob analogy, but seriously, youBoob has got to be way better than a panicked, screaming parent in the passenger seat

I'm so looking forward to getting back to driving a manual. Leaving a 2007 tundra for my tacoma, picking up on Thursday. Well, not leaving yet, I will keep the tundra until around october and then sell it.

I don't let any valet in the usa drive my cars. It is out of the question.
I just park it myself and keep the keys.

I'll go.elsewhere if they get snooty. (Valet places usually are... their clientele wants to feel 'rich' - even if they borrow $$ to go there...) Whiny posers. Can't walk to park your car? Tip the bartender, the waiter, AND the valet so the joint can avoid paying proper wages...

Last thing I want is someone "trying to figure out how to drive my car - Any of them...

Only the electic one is an 'automatic'.

I had knee surgery not long ago and I need to pick and choose where and when I walk, so, "Hello, Valet? Park my car please."

I've owned 24 vehicles and i'm 25, all have been stick so far. I wonder how long I can keep up my trend before being forced to own an automatic for some reason

I took my 2021 TRD OR DCSB 6MT in for its first service a few years ago. I left it in The drive-up and went to the lounge. About 15 mins later one of the intake guys came up to me and said my Taco was still in the drive up because they couldn’t get it started. They even tried to jump start the battery! Turns out, they did not even recognize that it was a stick and were (2 of them!) trying to start it without pushing in the clutch. I break out in a cold sweat every time I have to take in my Taco for service.

Oh goodness. My dad had one of those when I was a kid. When a 10 year old me and 8 year old sister say there's no room in the car....though my dad ran it to around 200K as a commuter car.

What on earth is this magic?

Surpised you could drive a 4 cylinder Colorado..the engine didn't last long in those

yeah, i don't understand why arizona has the diagram online, but it was the clearest picture with indicator arrows of direction of travel. ironic that even the michigan examples of the intersection design weren't clear!

Michigan's had the U-turn to turn for decades now. Lots of accidents because of them too. I think the major accidents went down though. Still screwed up, like a lot of other things in this state. You should see these idiots trying to figure out how to use the traffic circles. Lots of fender bender accidents there too.
