I did a similar thing for my 2013 Accord. Stock, they come with these puny-ass little 51Rs. There's several parts you can get to fit in a 24F and that's what I've had ever since.

On my 2018 SR5, first battery dead after 4 months, replacement dead 14 months later.

Follow up; I Swapped out the OEM battery with one I had laying around while waiting for the X2. After being on a trickle charge for 5 days, the OEM tested good for voltage and passed a load test.
I haven't driven the truck much over the past several weeks so the battery must have drained down due to the parasitic draw from all the electronics.
Thinking back, my trip meters reset to zero several times on start up during that period. Could be an indicator of low battery voltage.

My original battery lost its charge today. Tacoma Double Cab, (60,000 miles) has not been operated for a couple weeks and we have had cold weather. Battery is over 7 years old, as I bought Tacoma in January 2013. On a charger now, will see if it recovers. If not, off to Walmart. (I usually have good luck with batteries- still have original battery, which is now 12 years old, in 2008 BMW Z4.) I try to avoid short trips and use a battery tender on Z4, which is operated primarily in summer (16,000 miles.) Whenever I purchase a replacement battery, I put it on a trickle charger and do not install it before it is fully charged. (I got that tip from a Mercedes Benz North America executive who I used to ride with. He was a pretty good mechanic and we spent a lot of time riding BMW motorcycles in the farmlands of NJ back in the early 70’s. He was emphatic about having a fully charged battery before you install it.)

had mine go weak on me this week as I spent too long parked in the garage on the BT phonecall with the lights on. Next morning would crank for 1 sec then click click click. Had 12.45v but not enough needed a jump. Been fine since then.

I live in Maine we just went through a spell of below zero weather even my diesel tractor started you have a parasitic drain somewhere when I leave for a week or more I put it on a trickle charger clock, memory etc but still day to day you have an issue. 4 years is about right for a battery no matter how cold it gets.
