Replaced the carrier bearing today, which was 10x easier than I thought it would be.


Then removed all my stock skids, prepped and primed all the rhino skids


Got ready to order some more goodies but sadly found that I tore my inner cv boot so looks like I'll be having to replace the whole cv axle.

 

No good man. Im hoping Gulches dont get rained out

 

Ain't lookin to good, hoping to have this boot issue resolved by then just in case though

 

Did you get the skids on

 

Na, they are primed, letting them sit in garage and dry since it's so humid I'm giving them more time to dry. Should be on Wednesday after noon though

 

Started putting the skids on... I don't think this truck will ever see a "bolt on mod"
After 3 and a half hours of prying to get one bolt in at a time due to the mounts being bent I got to the last skid. Then came this problem.



Going to have to cut the skid around my sliders to fit against the frame

 

Skids all buttoned up, fluids checked, everything packed and ready to hit gulches tomorrow!

Gulches was a blast! Although towards the end of the day I busted my Cv it was totally worth it!

And then it happened, while searching for traction I got a little heavy on the skinny pedal, truck started to jump and i think it may have really pinched that boot up.
