I'm considering using them so I don't have to use the lead mounted wheel weights.

    Who is using them? Opinions?

I used dynabeads on a set of 35" km2's with alum rims. They were mounted to a 90 Dodge Ramcharger. Worked great. No shimmy at any speed and they wore even. I would definitely recommend them. When I upgrade my stock tires to a set of 255/85-16 km2's I will be using them.

I used airsoft BBs in 38.5" swampers on a Jeep. They would balance at certian speeds but would be awful at others. It's possible I didn't use enough, though.

Interested in hearing peoples thoughts as well. I have heard people using them with beadlocks and having good success but I am interested in feedback from those with normal rims and not so large of tires like 35's or 37's.

I have never heard of using RV antifreeze to balance tires before. It's primary purpose is to winterize RV water systems. I found this thread here, on a heep forum where the owner remarked it worked well.

    Cool. learned something new!

Found a video about it too.

I had some on a motorcycle a few years back. They worked great at speed, but at slow speeds, you can hear the "shh, shh, shh" of them rolling around inside the tire. Not a huge deal unless you're really picky about random noises on the truck.

I contacted Innovate Balancing, manufacturers for Dyna Beads. Told them I was going to LT255/85/R16 MT tire, said 8oz of beads would be good. I think I am going to go with the larger beads, and put them during tire mounting. The cost is a wash when I compare to what I pay through Discount for lifetime balancing. I like the idea of not having to deal with weights that come off while wheeling.

These are the ones I'm considering: DBS-OR8

Nice! That's actually a really good idea. I never thought about using them for OR tires. They get out of balance a lot. I have to balance my old set of MTs, but I just rotated the out of balance tires to the rear so it's less noticeable. Let us know how this turns out! Post pics once you get them too.

I was just reading this thread, I haven't added them yet, was going to try them on my next tire set and see how they go.

Just so I'm clear- with these, there is no need for the lead weights? Stick on or clip on?

I've never heard of these before. So, these are an alternative to stick on/clip on weights on the wheels? They work just as good? Any negatives with these? Is this a newer product, or have they been around for quite a while?

I use them because for one, 99% of the shops out there will not touch my wheels. And if they do, they charge an arm and a leg to work on them. I also like the fact that I don't have to worry about wheel weights. Because of the design of the two piece wheels, I mount my own tires. Pain in the ass taking them apart and putting them back together but I like the fact that I can air down to just about nothing and not have to worry the tire coming off the rim.

You can run them with or without lead weights. When you run them with weights the beads will fine tune the balance of the tires.
