Recently installed a new bumper and had to relocate my backup camera. The dynamic guide lines no longer show up. (The lines that move when you’re backing up and moving the steering wheel) I’ve tried googling/ YouTubing a quick fix and nothing seems to work. No “camera” button in the functions list either. Is this something I’ll have to get recalibrated at a Toyota dealer?

I solved this recently, huge rabbit hole.

In brief you have to go into service mode and recalibrate far left and far right on the wheel to get the yellow lines back

this is copied from a reddit post:

Here's how you reset it and fix it:

    1. turn off the car.
    2. Turn it on to accessory mode by pushing the power button WITHOUT your foot on the brake
    3. After everything comes on, hold down AUDIO on the center console and turn your headlights on and off three times
    4. You should hear some beeps and access the maintenance screen of for the car.
    5. Select "Function check/Setting"
    6. You should see "Camera setting" grayed out
    7. Turn on the car (brake + button) - the button should activate and turn black
    8. You should now see a "steering angle setting" button that looks grayed out.
    9. Hold the steering angle setting button for three seconds - even though it's grayed out, it should open.
    10. Now you want to make sure your steering wheel iscentered, and select "Steering Center Memorize"
    11. Turn the wheel all the way left and select "Max Steering Angle Memorize"
    12. Turn the wheel all the way right and do Max Angle again (this step didn't seem to work for me by YMMV)
    13. Turn your car off and then back on.
    14. Voila, your guide lines are back and the exclamation mark is gone.
Step 7. was where I was stuck onmy 2020 Tacoma. One thing Inoticed when you do step 7 you will notice the greyed out camera setting turn black but for me it also exited the diagnostic screen view and put me back to the normal view, then a window will pop up and say 'press ok to finish/save diagnostic window' hit cancel, with the vehicle still running repeat steps 3 -5 and voila, the camera setting is no longer greyed out and you can access all the calibrations in the final steps.

I’ve tried this, attached is all the buttons in my “functions” menu no “camera” setting. That’s where I’m stuck.

Can’t tell what type of truck your is, but my lines don’t move as a function of steering wheel angle, 21 OR.

When I go to reverse, I get a “box” in the camera, as if my truck is longer than it actually is. My lines don’t curve like some vehicles do with steering input.

Not saying yours don’t (or didn’t used to).

Good luck figuring it out, maybe mine are supposed to curve?

On my 23 OR premium the yellow lines track with steering wheel rotation. Useful in the LB in tight spots. OP here are some reference pics to refer to, guessing yours is the same.

The last shot shows the grayed out Camera setting you aren't getting. Guessing your camera isn't detected?

I installed a new camera for a relocation, and I opted for the less expensive 86790-04040 instead of the 867B0 (which is the oem for my truck with the panoramic cameras). I don’t mind the cameras not meshing perfectly, but I would love to turn off the dynamic lines. I can’t do this as there is an error on the screen. When I go through to change the steering settings it just shows a screen with signal check.

Anyone know how to get around this?
