well tossed the truck on the dyno.
    Truck made 286hp and 287tq.
Not bad as I'm auto. So any where from 5%-10%(300-314hp if manual) more drive train loss over a manual.

What kind of dyno? Elevation corrected? I would expect more than that.

The hard part was keeping it from down shifting. We had to roll into the throttle really slow. If we can figure out a way to lock the trans in 3rd gear so that we could go full throttle at 2k would help

Pulls were done in 3rd. But we had to roll into the throttle really slow to keep it from down shifting

We tried and it kept down shifting.

My friend that was doing the dyno perfers 3rd on a 4speed auto. 4th is a long pull and can build up heat in the trans fast.

He does the dyno and tunning on my friends jeffs car.

    Intake, exhaust, lift. Typical stuff.

We chose not to do pulls in 4th as stated above. The difference in power is not worth it.
A 3rd gear pull on my evo vs a 4th gear pull is only 6hp difference.

I believe we did it in third as well. That is made a much more noticeable difference. However, it was a about 3 years ago or so, so I do not remember exactly.

It was on Lucario Runner's 4Runner. 4th gear. He also has the X-1 with a raised rev limiter, and no speed limiter, so he gets a little more rev range even though starting at 3k. His dyno's are in the N/A mods link in my sig.

Not the most recent, but shows what the graph looks like starting as such.

Mine was also done in 3rd but I didn't break into 300s till my 4th run when I asked him to do it in 4th gear. Been wanting to go back to have all my runs done in 4th gear but waiting till winter season when temps get cooler.

When I showed Scott from itronix who does the tuning for the UCON said usually 4th gear is ideal for power runs on the auto but will need to ease it in on the higher rpm range (3k).

If you're on a budget for tuning I would recommend the maf cal from urd. A friend of mines has it on his SC 2015 xrunner and yielded great results from it.

I wish I could get a x1. I'm hoping and praying that URD gets the uconn ready around the 1st of the year.
    I would love to do
    Uconn
    2.7pully
And install a meth kit I have.
And maybe hollowd out and Teflon coated rotors.

The next think I will do for sure if a IPT valve body upgrade. I want that more so for towing as I plan and doing a lot of autocross events next summer with my

Not wanting to do a maf cal from URD. I don't like using a maf to pull fuel. It causes timing spikes. It's like using a afc
