Tomorrow is the big day. Livestream will kick off around 10AM Central Time. Again, no need to subscribe to the channel, just watch or wait for results. Just a mythbusters style test on a dyno for everyone, no sponsors, no bias, just community research. Channel has been listed already, but I will post results for those who don't want to sit and stare at a screen.

I am quite curious how this will turn out. Thanks for doing the "test".

@ResidentCarbon Thanks for doing this. Though I'm satisfied with the performance of my truck, I am curious about how this will turn out.

I won't be watching the live stream though. They're as exciting as watching paint dry.

I wouldn't be able to stand all that excitement. :anonymous:

I've been watching paint dry all week... Painting my cabinets on my week off.

Agree that it will be long and boring. Its just to avoid people claiming editing tricks or anything like that. This could reveal nothing, could be something. Im just willing to do this at my own cost with no benefit outside of testing the theory, based on my experience.

Currently, I have the ACIS unplugged and the K&N filter in. I have the stock filter with me as well. We'll do runs with both filters in both situations of the ACIS unplugged. Keep in mind that my truck is manual, so results should be consistent as we control the shift points.

Not at all. Didn't cost me a dime, plus he offered a discount for the inconvenience. Should get sorted soon, not worried. Setbacks happen. I just got an early jump on my day and am driving my Tacoma around, still a good day.

I like that you are doing this, it's going to be fun to see the results.

It will be a good experiment. The person doing it has a great reputation and just did the tuning on a car for Pike's Peak earlier this year. Car ran solid and I know the team who went. Once we complete this, I'll say who the company is. Sadly, YouTube has changed their livestream terms, so I'll have to upload the video after we do it. He stays busy, as do I, but I'd say we will do it relatively soon. I would like to add credit to his dedication as he came in a cast and broken arm to do this today. You can see the sling strap in the picture. Damn respectable work ethic.

Will you be performing a paired T-Test to make the results statistically relevant? I want to see those P values. Haha

Sorry for the delay, busy time of year. No word yet. I know he is one of the best, so I’ve been patient. However, I believe it’s time to look elsewhere.

I am not familiar with those tests. As it stands, it seems I may need to go elsewhere as I haven’t heard back. Tell me about these tests you speak of and I’ll accommodate you if possible. I’m a firm believer in removing any doubt by including any variables.

i ended up buying OVtune (which i said originally) I still liked this "mod" in the mean time as it smoothed it out a lot.

I still look forward to the test though
