I have an 07 taco and wanted to get the dynolock security lock for the tailgate. I also want to get a backup camara in the handle. The dynolock people don't have any idea if these will work together since my truck didn't come with a factory camara. Does anyone have any experience with this?

Since your truck never came with a camera it probably doesn't have any of the factory wiring to make one work. You would need to wire it up yourself and integrate with either an aftermarket stereo headunit, a rearview mirror that has that capability, or some other auxiliary screen. Lots of ways to do that, not sure what exists as a plug-and-play package on the market because my '15 came with one.

EDIT: I'm removing my previous comments about not getting the Dynolock/Dyno Products actuator. They are extremely difficult to reach for customer service but very nice once you get a hold of them. Don't expect them to answer phones quickly and they probably will never reply to emails (seems like a couple nice older guys who do this in spare time).

I do have an after market camara ready head unit. Just need more advice on tailgate power locks and camara installs.

Having a 06 and looking to do this myself I think I'm going with a Pop-N-Lock BOLT unit https://www.amazon.com/Pop-Lock-PL8...-1-2550--&vehicleName=2006+Toyota+Tacoma&th=1
a little extra lithium or silicone greases on the moving bits and the paracord emergency release pull

it takes a factory style camera, it keys to my existing keys, seems to be the best of the choices available

So would I need to purchase a separate handle with a camara on it?

if you want to add a camera I believe so
I don't know what year the camera became available but the handle changed to accommodate it
