Exactly how much are you trimming. Are you just taking a little at a time "Trial and error"?

I have followed all of the helpful advice and pictures on this thread, I am just running into one problem.... I cannot find the blue/red or blue/black wires!!
I have looked at all the pictures for wiring and I am certain that I am looking in the right place and those wires are just not there.
Has anyone else ran into this problem?
I will call Jim at Dynolock today.

Be sure to look inside the black plastic sleeve (you know, the one that's wrapped with about 50 yards of black tape). Once you get to all the wiring, you may need to roll the wires around to find the stripes (pretty much all of my wiring was solid blue up, stripe down).

I have a 2012 Prerunner Access cab. Could not find the blue/red (pink), blue/black wires by the front seats or access cab so I called Jim on a Sunday. He was glad to help. He said I needed the look in either of the kick panels and sure enough they were there. I used the kick panel on the passenger side and the lock activates with the passenger side door lock. I wanted it to activate with the driver's side lock so I believe it would have worked if I used the driver's side kick panel.

It has been about a year and a half since I installed my Dynolock. Since I was unable to open my gate by using the normal key fob/power door locks, I had to manually open up the gate after removing the internal panel.

I found that the actuator install was loose because of a missing screw. The screw had loosened over time and fell out of place.

Although I used threadlocker on the screw to anchor the actuator and frame to the handle/gate, I did not use any treadlocker on the smaller screws that hold the actuator to its aluminum frame (with nylon block).

This time, I reinstalled the actuator, frame, and block with a generous amount of threadlocker on all screws.

Hopefully, I don't get locked out of my bed for at least another two years.

I just got done installing my dynalock. I want to thank everyone for the tips and pictures it was extremely helpful. Wiring was easy, but running the cable was the worst part if you could call anything about it tough.:D
