for $400...eek :notsure:

DynoValve ®

Dyno: An instrument designed to measure power, exhaust emissions, and fuel economy.
Valves: Devices that regulate the flow of gases through apertures by opening and closing.

DynoValve ® Overview

In the 1960's, the Positive Crankcase Ventilation (PCV) System appeared on new American domestic cars. Not since the first engine exhaust emission control system has there been such a significant advancement in PCV valve technology as our DynoValve ® products.

The DynoValve ® (gasoline) & DynoValvePro ® (diesel) are the first and only electronically controlled PCV/Crankcase Oil Recovery Emission Control Systems available.

The EPA laboratory has accepted test results on the gasoline and diesel engines. Tests show that there was a reduction of all exhaust emissions, especially in the NOx, while simultaneously reducing fuel and oil consumption. Depending on the application, test reports will be available upon request.

DynoValve

• Improves Fuel Mileage
• Reduces HC, CO, and NOx Exhaust Emissions
• Laboratory Tested at EPA Approved Facility
The DynoValve ® is a newly patented Positive Crankcase Ventilation (PCV) Valve. The DynoValve is designed for use in Automotive gasoline powered vehicles. The DynoValve ® replaces OEM PCV valves. The DynoValve TM eliminates the vacuum problems associated with todays standard PCV valves by optimally regulating the flow of engine blow-by gases. SaVi Media Group, Inc. accomplished this unique ventilation with the use of an electronically controlled switch. The Electronically Controlled DynoValve ® precisely regulates the flow of blow-by gases returning to the engine intake system.

I call serious bullshit on improving gas mileage... MAYBE 1mpg if that

So besides improving gas mileage which is questionable and not proven to increase on Taco's by installing this device, unless you are Greenpeace activist and you seriously care about emissions, than I see absolutely no point in installing that device...

Greenpeace...pffff

yeah there hsn't been testing done on a taco and even the vehicles that were tested didn't see an increase in mpg enough to raise an eyebrow

Today on Stossel's news commentary show on Fox News, the SaviCorp Dyno Valve received very favorable report by Lauren Fix who has car maintenance website. Supposedly she had test runs and found this device one of the very few she had tested that yielded positive enough results to make it worth the cost of purchase. She stated that major automobile companies are planning on having this or a similar system on new models in a year or two. She claimed auto makers believe in this new type of electronic PCV valve replacement technology. Lauren Fix has a website. Most of what she had to say today about various products was very skeptical, but she apparently believed in this product very highly.

To me it seems to good to be true...

What's wrong with the OEM PCV valve to warrant "fixing" with this thing?

Emissions and fuel savings supposedly are improved. Others above say it reduces emissions but they are not sure of fuel savings. California has certified it reduces smog (link above).

If it reduced (or increased) mileage by 10% I probably would not notice the difference as I don't drive the same routes in every tankful, measuring would be difficult without a rigorous test. And it takes a long installation process, I would guess half an hour for a typical, so would take a real commitment to try it out by first installing, uninstalling, reinstalling, etc.

What is the scientific mechanism by which it improves gas milage? Does it filter better or worse than the stock PCV valve?
