    my button in the e-brake handle has no tension on it when I press it. The handle SPINS 360 degrees, but won't turn the shaft. Seems like it should only spin about 90 degrees.? If I pull back slightly on the handle I can then grab the shaft with my other hand & spin the shaft 90 degrees in a clockwise direction to release the e-brake. Any suggestions will be evaluated and appreciated....... Cheers

    Afaik the handle is mean to spin freely until you engage the parking brake. As long as it works when you pull the shaft to engage the brake and it works when you disengage the brake when the shaft is pulled out its normal. There was a lot of shaft pulling mentioned right there :spy:

    @Dalandser nailed it.

    I usually just turn mine 45 degrees counter clockwise then button and then clockwise to unlock it to disengage the ebrake.

    That's totally normal. I'm not entirely sure the button actually does anything.

    The handle will just spin and do nothing as long as you don't pull on it and depress the button (safety feature).

    All I do is pull the handle slightly rearwards (simultaneously depressing the button on back on handle), then twist it a few degrees clockwise, then let go to release the brake. Pull straight on it to set the brake.

    Easy Peasy.
