Cooper studded snow tires

We got a Belgian Malinois mix puppy (similar to a German Shepherd breed) a month ago. He is about 5 months young now and are considering an E fence to help him learn areas of our property that are off limits. We have an adjacent pond that I really don't want him getting into.

Does anyone have experience with this type of fence?
