    Sorry to hear bud. Good severance though, although I know it doesn't take the sting out. I'm done on December 31st with a 4 month severance package. I think because of the TAA (trade allowance adjustment) which gives some additional unemployment benefits if your job goes to a foriegn country, I am eligable for 104 weeks of unemployment. I hope I don't need them. Best of luck in the job search, and sorry again.

    =/, im sorry to hear that, bro. At least you got a fair amount of time to get a little prepared. I've seen departments at various companies get outsourced in less time. A decent severance package was nice too.

    Just an update on the job search...

    i had 5 interviews (2 in-person) with Disney Interactive Studios in Burbank for a job on one of their MMO's, but they are really dragging their feet on filling the position. its been 3 weeks since i last heard from them :(

    i applied to 38 Studios in Massachusetts and they are interested in me, but they really dont have a specific position. last i heard, they were trying to see if they could find a spot for me.

    i had a phone interview this morning with NetDevil in Colorado. The position sounds like it would be a good fit. i have another phone interview tomorrow, and if that goes well, they want to fly me out on friday.

    i hope it goes well with netdevil. i would sure enjoy CO more than i would MA. i hope something comes along soon. my last paycheck from EA is in 6 weeks. :(

    hope things work out. but to be honest, i think you should hold out for a job at bioware and flat out refuse anything else. i want you to work on the next mass effect game. you need to convince them to make the sex scenes more explicit :)
