Hey guys, I'm a long time lurker, I think this is actually my first time posting. I'd been looking for a new grill for awhile, and decided to take a chance on an ebay find. I've literally not seen a single non-photoshopped photo of this particular one installed on a 2nd gen Tacoma. Anyway, here's some pictures and my overall thoughts.

    The item in question:
    https://www.ebay.com/itm/2012-2013-...=item2f1e6e0521:g:cW4AAOSwnh5cLrhq:rk:12:pf:0

I got it for ~$170 shipped

It come's almost fully assembled. There's no cutting or custom work involved, it directly replaces your entire OEM grill.

    Installed:
    IMG_6112.jpg
Before: I had plasti-dipped my stock grill in 2015 because I hated the plastic chrome.
    IMG_6079.jpg
Closer look at the new grill:
    Screenshot 2019-02-06 19.28.17.jpg
I was actually very impressed with the grill. The steel mesh seems very sturdy and the paint is thick.

The few flaws I found with the grill is that there were a few white spots on the outside portion of the grill, I've attached a few close ups here. It doesn't matter to me because I plan on color matching the border in the future.

The EAG emblem can be easily removed. If anyone has any good sites where I can find different ones that have a backing similar to this one, please point me in that direction!

I couldn't find the thread, but think I saw one maybe recently where a bunch of you guys were talking about a group buy for one of the other grills. I wanted to put this out there incase anyone was looking for something different. I wasn't a big fan of the raptor style grills, or even the TRD pro one. The satoshi ones looked nice but I actually didn't want the recessed mesh look on it.

I moved the horns as explained in other threads, and also blacked out the bare aluminum portions of the radiator. Will try to take better pictures and post them as well, the installed ones are from today after I got off work and the sun was going down.

Bonus pictures of my truck pre-EAG grill.. Maybe someday I'll do a full write up.

Helps a lot... I just ordered the raptor style one from eag. I liked the profile, but may not put the lights in. Are you going to color match it? I have the paint supplies sitting in my Amazon cart... just not sure yet.

Looks good. I think it would look even better if you color matched it

Got one of these installed last week. Overall pretty happy with it and a pretty good deal. i just need to figure out what color I'm gonna pain the EAG emblem before I put it back on. Also need to move or paint a few things behind it.

Another nice pic...you've all convinced me to order the prep/paint/clearcoat while I'm waiting for my grill to arrive.

So glad I waited for a MGM color truck.

I was planning on color matching the border to the magnetic gray of the truck, but everyone who has seen it says they like it black like it is.. So I'm going to hold off for awhile. Possibly still do it in the future. If anyone gets the grill and color matches it please share it here so I can see!

Is that a lift or just front end level?

Grill looks pretty slick but I am curious if you can remove the EAG or if it's permanent?

You can see the nuts on the back to remove it if you look through the pictures.

I guess we'll see how long it lasts.
Lights work. Paint is matched as good as the plastic factory grill. I have some polishing to do..
The raptor style doesn't have the EAG emblem, so no worries there.
Just dont follow the instructions where is says to "remove the factory grill assembly and discard "?? 20190328_202311.jpg 20190401_183314.jpg

Ordered that same one hours ago before I even saw this thread. How was wiring? I read from Amaxon there are no directions, and some guy had to tap into battery and fuse box to get it to where the little LEDs go on with DTR lights.

Lights have a harness. I used a fuse tap on the low beam 10 amp fuse in box. Ground to frame near battery. 10 minute hookup.
