Does anyone know if the later, wider, 01-04, gen. 1 flares are a direct bolt on to a 1999 truck with the early, narrower, fender flares? I need a drivers side rear fender flare for my 99 and would buy a full set of 01-04 flares if they don't require me to drill holes in my truck. Thanks!

Just to make sure I understand, no bolts through the face of the fender? the wider flares only bolt at the inside edge of the fender? Thanks so much!

No holes necessary. It won’t have as good of a grip, but the wheel well liner bolts hold them in just fine.

I should add the ones you have are actually better since they’re made from Fiberglass. The 2001-2004 flares are thin plastic.
