Diodes can be added to help prevent back feed and I forgot to put them in the diagram. I just did a quick diagram to show how I would wire it up since I know some/most would want the raptor lights on when the truck is on/running and I know the green wire loses power when the headlights are on.

Y'all are awesome, thank you for the tips!!

Ideally, I'd like my raptor lights to run with my DRLs. What I'm lacking with my current fuse tap is the ability to turn them off via the headlight stalk. (and also they randomly turn on either for a few seconds or for a few minutes when the truck is off...)

I've yet to see anyone find a fuse to tap into to get what I want, so I was thinking splice them directly into the DRL power wire--but I also wondered if that would trigger an alert within Tacoma's computer (headlight out, etc).

If you're tapping into the INJ fuse, the 4 banger is the one exhibiting that behavior...
    It would not.

Thank you for helping guide me through my electrical ignorance...

Does this mean I should *not* splice the raptor LEDs into DRL power wire?

If you do, they turn OFF when low beams are selected...

Well crap. Any ideas to consider before just installing direct on/off switch for my raptors?

Does your Taco have the towing relay to charge the trailer battery?

The big gray square? I'll check when I get off work...

Seriously appreciate y'all's help, I'm pretty ignorant when it comes to electronics.
