I want to see that, if you can make a snorkel that looks like its factory that would be the bomb

avw: Thanks! they're a HUGE help on the trail and as I said, work great as ambient lighting in camp

Gaunt: i don't know about "factory" but I"m gonna come up with one that fits the glass fenders like an ARB or Safari should and not just all cut-up and re-glued

sweet, snorkles are IMO cheap insurance compared to a hydrolocked engine

So I've decided to start my mods with more direction: on the list for 2015, MOAB Rock Therapy trip as well as returning from there on the TransAmerican Trail. (if you haven't seen this check it out: http://www.transamtrail.com )

to do this I've got a few things in mind on the mod list:

    TIRES... SOON!

    finish rear suspension setup:
    extended rear shocks
    work on custom leaf pack
    shack flip kit?

    upgrade front suspension:
OME 886 coils with the billies set accordingly
    UCA's

trail defense (all custom made by me)
    IFS
    Transmission
    Transfer case
    Gas tank?
    Sliders
    Finish Rear bumper***

    Exhaust:
Flowmaster super 40 series with custom pre axle drop
move x-over pipe to allow for flat skid

    engine:
Safari Snorkel (custom done for the Baja fenders

    Bed rack:
Custom made for spare tire, high lift, shovel, spare fuel/water, and MAYBE RTT

RTT??? (anyone got one for sale at a discount?? :spy:

    Lighting:
    LED tail lights/3rd brake
    Bed lights
    LED map/dome lights
    LED interior floors
LED center console and glove box
    LED rock lights
    LED fog lights
MOAR LED's for front and side lighting
    .... ya i like LED's :p

    Recovery:
9-12K lb winch, very wide open still but I know I need one
    OBA

    comfort/trail readiness:
    OBW (both potable and non)
fridge? (probably not by next year but eventually)

When it gets closer to that time next year I may have to hit you up. I'd love to make it out to Moab and checking out the TAT would be sick!

You aren't kidding, I think there will be a few other people from the east coast headed out that way. I'm just trying to get as much as possible done on my truck this summer!

I'll be doin the "slow" version of a build most likely. I'm buying a welder in the next few weeks and then from there shit will hopefully move kinda quickly, but that all depends on moro being steady

It really is not too hard to pick up the basics. Getting the voltage/wire speed dialed in is the hardest part. A lot of welders these days have a guide on them to make this easier. Biggest thing that I have run into is if your wire speed and voltage are ok and you are still having issues, check your gas. When I was welding on my sliders something got bumped and the shielding gas wasn't flowing. I was like WTF is going on, we just spent 45 min getting everything dialed in perfect and now it sucks and i cant weld a damn thing!
