So my truck was sitting for the last month. Cruising down the road today and shifted into 4hi just to give the parts a chance to move and heard a noise from what sounded like the front drivers side area. I wouldn't call it a grinding noise but more of a tapping maybe. It increases and decreases proportional to the speed of the truck. I'm taking it in tomorrow to see if they can figure it out.

Long story short, depending on what they figure out I may not be doing any wheeling Monday. I'll keep you guys posted.

It didn't affect my alignment. The only alignment issue I got was because I didnt do a good job tightening everything down.I got everything right and torqued.

What’s up guys, just found this thread! This is my truck, picking up a gfc in 6 weeks and upgrading suspension and bumper this month. I mostly head out on trails with my sons and fly fish on the cda river and st joe river. Camp every year at priest lake too. 972BAD3B-72BB-487F-A876-F22DA5D63421.jpg

Crap. I just saw this. I finished a little while ago. The arms weren’t bad at all. Problem was I was trying to do arms and shocks together. Just doing the arms firs and then dropping the strut out the bottom afterwards was way easier. The second side probably only took me an hour for both UCA and strut.

I don't really know any nearby and anything that I do know that I ride my motorcycles on would probably be boring. What about up near usk? I know there are a lot of forest service roads and stuff up there. If it was a bit later in the year I would suggest heading south and hitting some stuff down by Asotin but that would be a multi day trip.

It's less Tacoma and more mod
I know of some roads up in Athol, back up against the lower end of the lake. Good looking country and super easy for even a stock truck, though I'm sure we could find something more interesting too. I live very near to the 7 mile ORV, I know it well, if anyone wanted to have a little test their truck day, I know some fun ways to find your limits safely

I'm out for anything out of town. After the UCAs and the height increase on the front suspension I can see my camber is off for sure, so I don't really want to drive too far until I can get an alignment done. I'll take it for a little longer test drive this evening and if it at least drives ok I would be down for 7 mile on Monday. I've got too many family events planned this weekend.

There are some closer ones out by long lake dam, I know a few of the shorter sections and have followed others on a bunch more on 2 wheels. I am sure I could get us nice and lost or onto the Indian reservation, which I have also ridden. I would think it's close enough to not be not much longer of a time commitment than being at 9 mile.

That would definitely be somewhere new for me. If it's something that we can plan, I'm all for it.

There's a big chunk of DNR land behind Newman lake. There's also a bunch of parcels owned by IE Paper company with dirt roads winding all around in there. I haven't been out to that area since I was a teenager but google looks like there would be plenty of options. I got about 3-4 hours to kill Monday.
