So to start this was in my wife's 2017 Camry not my Tacoma but that said I'm sure its the same shit speaker in the dash. So I was going to replace the dash speakers with some Rockford tweeters so after I pulled the speakers out I was going to make a bracket to mount the tweeters to the stock holes. Then I got to looking at the stock speaker, its made of plastic frame and paper cone.....I'm gonna cannibalize this thing ...... So that's what I did 20180411_161959.jpg 20180411_162015.jpg 20180411_162022_HDR.jpgSo I ripped the cone and spider out, I cut the wiring off popped the little connector off the back, I then used snips and cut a small clearance cut in the side (seen in second pic) for the wires to come out. Put some 3m double sided tape in where cone was and placed the tweeter in it. Worked like a charm and the tweeters were in a flush mount setting so the tweeter magnet is not touching the old magnet of the old speaker. Works great and sounds way way better for the 10 mins I messed with them before wife and car left.
