I have a new Tacoma on order with a mid-July expected delivery and will add a tonneau cover once I have possession. I have an Extang Solid Fold cover on my existing pickup which is a nice unit, but at my age, 77, releasing the holddowns so I can carry a large item in the bed is right at the limit of my strength. I sure need suggestions for an "easy open" and foldable/retractable tonneau cover.

The Peragon is pretty easy. I’m just a couple years behind you. The lock is an easy to turn key. Then a little push at the first joint. There is a strap on the tail end to pull it closed. I use this standing at the front (where the key is) to pull it open.

Check out videos on line for a better indication of ease of use.

Interesting. Haven't heard of that one before. Little expensive, wonder if they ever have free shipping.

Yes it costs more than some but the quality is there and it is US made by a family owned company.

Is the spacing between the descending guides sufficient that a 4x8 sheet of plywood can still be loaded?

I haven’t tried. Call Peragon. Nice folks and can answer all your questions.
