    Hello,
First post, so please be nice.
Just got a 04 prerunner TRD double cab last night.
I did not come with and owners manual.
I have done some searching but can't locate the info.

Stupid question..... On the left hand side of the wheel on the dash is the Rear Diff Lock button and to the left of that is a button "ECT"...What is this?

Thanks for you time with this Stupid Question.

Not a stupid question.. First, Welcome to TW! :)

The ECT button is for the tranny. Similar to the "Tow/Haul" Button on other trucks.

    Ok... thanks,

You said similar. So for the tranny.... like line preasure boosting for check valve and shift points or some thing along those lines?

how does the 2x4 diff lock-up compare to the regular 4x4 open diff?
yes I know that there is nothing like 4x4.... but with the lock-up the TRD 2x4 should due really well...?

On the Prerunner, you can lock the diff at any speed below 5 mph. Works great on the Prerunner.

the ECT button basically changes your shift points on the AT so you can tow/haul better
