So, I ordered this mount the other day:

    http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&vxp=mtr&item=131145988015

While I was looking for a place to mount it today I noticed this small gap between the center console and lower dash.

I thought "maybe it'll just slide right in there..."

    And it did:

The ScanGauge is attached to the bracket with Velcro. Thought someone else might wAnt to try this. It's working nicely for me.

There's an inexpensive option if you follow the link in my sig below for those that would rather have it in line of sight.

That's how I have mine, except the Velcro came with it! I like to be able to see it with the other gauges.

Mine is right there on the steering column shroud also. It does block the cruise control light, but that's a minor problem. I looped a piece of heavy monofil (50 lb test) around the turn signal stalk on the left, and the wiring plug on the right.

By fastening the (mucho) excess wiring harness up under the dash with wire ties, the ScanGaugeII stays put very nicely. With the curve in the column shroud, I didn't figure the velcro would work, so didn't even try it. This has worked very nicely for 7 years or so. While it would be nice to have the CC light visible, I drive with it on about 90% of the time, so it's seldom in doubt, and a quick lean forward and I can visually check to see if it's on or off.
