I’ll be travelling with my wife and 2 kids to Englewood, CO next month from SoCal, can anyone suggest an easy-moderate, scenic trail that the family would enjoy? Mainly going to be a single truck trip, so nothing really technical would be most welcome.

Not sure what all is around in the front range but there's probably going to be snow in the mountains by next month. All the leaves are changing now and will be gone soon unfortunately, so it won't be as scenic. Lots of trails off of I-70 though if you're taking it.

Thank you! Do you have any suggestions off the I-70? I will be taking that route.

In my area, June Creek, Muddy Pass, Mosquito Pass, Red and White Road, Shrine Pass, Hagerman Pass, Piney Road (takes you out to Piney Lake) Moose there frequently. From what I hear there's some good trails in the Idaho Springs area. Slightly lower in elevation so might have less snow. I'm not sure when you're coming in November but many of these trails may be closed. It's not a trail but you could do a little detour and take hwy 24 up through Leadville. Its a cool windy road that goes past Gilman (a old mining town, turned ghost town) up to Leadville, Colorado's original capital city and the highest elevation incorporated town in North America. Also Doc Holiday used to hang there which is kinda cool. These books could be a nice resource as well
