So much room to add an external cooler to the mix for towing. Took my time and did a nice clean job keeping it a bit closer to the grill. Tapped into the outlet side of the Radiator Cooler then back to the transmission. No extra holes drilled into the truck - just one 3/16" through the grill support. Took an extra 19 oz. of fluid. Very happy with the results.

Good job! Didju completely bypass the radiator cooler? That's in my plans this winter.

Also, all the 2021 guys are gonna come in here and ask what specific lines you tapped and how your routed your hoses, diameters, lengths etc. Haha. Might as well get to scribbling on some pictures!

Hi For now I chose to leave the Rad. cooler in the loop. As I see it, the lower hose is the exit or cool hose. Followed that to the passenger side and pulled the line - and routed it to the new cooler then from the new cooler right to the remaining connection. It was easy with the 3/8" hose that came with the cooler. I do plan to change it out to metal lines in a couple of weeks with just short rubber line connects. We shall see.

I don't think 21's have PN 32906, so he tapped off the rad.

Yes That was the start of this project -- There was no external cooler on the truck.

I plan to by pass it after I can monitor the temps better. I don't like it going through the rad at all. Being that the truck is new - I'm comfortable with it for a while. Regards Scott

Nice I assume this one is non-directional? When I was looking some had to be facing to the side or certain way to function correctly with how they enter and exit.

This cooler that I chose is by-directional. I really don't like any restrictions internally.

It's for those without the cooler and wanting an OEM install from the radiator to an OEM or Aftermarket one...:smack:

when its bi-directional no issues with it pointing down instead of left or right? That is the part I am wondering. Usually it's either the inlet is top or bottom but here they are both bottom or facing down. Opens up more options if no issues.

Also you can repurpose the OEM cooler as a steering cooler. I was planning on doing that but may just upgrade the Steering pump setup entirely.

Nice work OP! I find it funny when people say stuff like this is 'easy' as in the title of this thread. Easy for whom? Totally depends on your background, experience, skills, etc. Just like anything else I guess. Programming a line of code would be easy for someone who has been doing it for years, but might as well be in greek for most people.

But I digress, props to ya for knocking this out so cleanly. I would have had to pay someone to do this for me, or at least guiding me through it as I went.

PS you could probably start a side business installing these for people.

Damn, repurposing it sounds like a stellar idea . Oops!
