Stoked my Subaru Kicker tweeters are out for delivery. Already swapped the other 4 out for Kickers with great sound. Hoping this pair seals the deal in my truck.
UPDATE-THESE SPEAKERS ARE AWESOME. I know my neighbors wonder why I loudly played "Blow up the outside world". Sorry neighbors just testing my Kicker ensemble.

I used the 6x9 front and 6.5 rear door Kickers and, with these tweeters, I have all the punch I need. The next sound upgrade for me will most likely be hearing aids.

    Hahaha
The reason I was so comfortable upgrading the tweeters was because it was plug-n-play. From my understanding there's slight modification needed to get the door speakers in which is what's holding me back from upgrading those.

No mods. Just gotta buy speaker mounts for the front and rear and, to avoid splicing, buy the speaker wire adapters. Then all is plug and play. Took me less than 1 hour to replace all 4 door speakers by buying the mounts and adapters for around $40. Took around 25 minutes to do the tweeters because my dumb azz didn't want to pull in the cold a/c garage so did it outside in 100 degree heat. Went from the mailbox to the dash. Over eager to get them installed.

Oh sweet!! Thanks for the info. Could you possibly share what mounts and adapters you went with? I'll do some more searching in the forum and online to see what my best options are. This just might be my next upgrade

Metra 72-8104 speaker wire adapters-2 packs covers all 4 speakers
Kicker - CS65 6-1/2" Coaxial Speakers rear doors with Metra 82-8148 door mounts
Kicker - CS694 6" x 9" Coaxial Speakers front doors with Metra 82-8146 door mounts
Total was $125 for everything plus the tweeters were only $47 with my $41 ebay bucks
So my complete 6 speaker Kicker upgrade was under $175. Just shop ebay and Amazon for best prices

20 minutes for a beginner. Did mine in 15 minutes in the 100 degree blazing sun. 5 minutes of that was just cleaning my smudges off the windshield after I finished. Just get a plastic pry tool, 10 mm ratchet wrench, open end 10 mm wrench and a 10 mm socket with a short extension and ratchet. I did not peel out the weatherstrip as shown in the oem audio video. I just carefully slid out and back in the pillar trim. Super easy and great sound. May have taken a little longer due to running back and forth to garage but honestly a quick and simple plug and play upgrade.

Great info!!! I was looking around on here trying to figure out the wiring issue on the front dash speakers and this solved it.

The Subaru Kicker tweeters are quite expensive however they are direct fit plug and play and sound great out of the box. I was fortunate and had over $40 in ebay bucks to cut the price in half. Regardless of price I was still going to buy them for $88. No cutting wires and no clearance or connection issues. Very simple install. I would not want to spend $40 on something that may or may not work or fit properly after modifying them and still may not have the same sound quality. I think the Subarus are great and I would have paid the $88 price for them as most people have. Another option is to find the cheapest price on the Subarus and take the ad to a Subaru dealer. Mine would price match. My system with all 6 speakers upgraded to Kickers sounds fantastic. I vote Subaru Kickers over the Memphis.

Definitely go with the subaru Kickers. Not only is there the benefit of installation ease, i think the sound will be better. The speakers that you linked above appear to be small midrange dash speakers.....thats basically what the problem is with the stock dash speakers....they are small midrange speakers, not proper tweeters.....the sound is muddy and harsh. Would the Memphis Audio midrange speakers be better than stock?.....not sure....i doubt there would be alot of difference though.

Since putting Subaru Kicker tweeters in, ive been quite pleased with the stock stereo. They make a huge improvement. Yes, they're a bit on the pricey side....but by the time you get aftermarket tweeters, mounting adapters, wiring adapters, crossovers, etc, its not that much more cash and the installation ease is worth the extra cost IMO.
