i got a 2006 Toyota Tacoma 4x4.i just put new tires on and did alignment all around, but a problem still there one of my tires is eating the rubber from inside. is the right one on rear, driver side. is possible that the wheel bearing could be causing the problem. this is a old problem even with the old tires i though the alignment would take care of it, but it didn't. any help or tips folks.

I don't believe you can do an alignment on rear wheels on these trucks. Pictures? Tire size?

Is it smooth wear? Choppy? Random? Whole tire? Half tire?

Well without seeing it my guess is you have stock springs which have sagged some, and you put on larger tire than stock, so you rub now.

    Lift kit time

Got an alignment printout? Our trucks have solid rear end. Was this tire ever on the front end? Once a tire starts wearing a certain way you can't stop it.

May be Broken leaf spring or bad shock, have someone follow you from behind and watch the rear wheel. May be hopping instead of staying firmly to the ground

Check the PSI air in the tires. They could be overinflated.

It is not possible for the rear tires to ever shift in camber as we are all based on a solid rear axle design.

If you are eating the inside of the tire you have a negative camber problem. Presumably it sounds like you got a lot of it based on the way you are describing it. Has the truck ever been hit? Hit in the rear at all? I am thinking either bent axle (which would take a SERIOUS hit to do so) or the frame is somehow tweaked in that general area.

The only other possibility is that it could indeed be the rear wheel bearing, but it would had shown symptoms of it being the issue long ago.

This. But for a wheel bearing to be that bad it would be so awful you’d know not to drive it.

OP you mention the wear is one 1” from center? And “skipping every other tread”. Pictures would really help. I’m also curious on the tire pressure, if they were under inflated it could cause cupping of the tread, which would look similar to skipping every other tread.

Switch it with a front tire and see what it does next.

did they rotate the tires from front to back? or is the rim bent? If you switch out with a different tire and it still does it, Id suspect some kind of crash damage.

You bought the tires at a yard sale? Opening thread says you installed new tires. Which is it?
List the tire make and post some pictures of the uneven wear.
