hey did you get your tracking number yet? i was just reading my tracking email and it says there is "2" packages...shouldn't there be "4"? i'm just curious cause my original tracking info said a weight of 130 lbs but online tracking info says a weight of 65lbs, that has me a bit confused

^^ I have my number, and yeah, its two separate packages. I'm pretty sure the total ship weight is 130lbs, each package is 65 65 each -- I'd imagine that they do them in sets of 2 to reduce bulk and make them easier to accommodate.

yes mine came in two cardboard outer boxes with two smaller oem boxes inside, one for each wheel. I liked the little dust covers that they ship the rims in too...nice touch.

Excellent news. Was that from CA to SC?

Frank Toyota is a well known dealer in San Diego. That's where I usually take my truck when I need it serviced. They actually did the rear TSB on my truck.

    Good find though!

Already have the Toyota trail team center caps! Then just need to add some Goodyear Duratracs or BFG All Terrain (really leaning towards the All Terrains)

Question. I am dropping from a 17" wheel with 265 65 r17 tires (stockers), these FJ wheels I will be running with 265 75 r16, so basically just one size taller in the sidewall. Will I need to get the truck realigned? Thanks in advance for any help, just want max tire wear for all the money I am spending.

Hmm I'm doing just that going from the 265/65/17 to the 265/75/16. I don't believe u need anything done. The tire shop said nothing to me when I dropped it off and I didn't have to get anything like tha on my old truck when I went up a size. Maybe someone else can reconfirm this as well.

Alignment has nothing to do with swapping your wheels- that is all based on the tie rod length, caster/camber, etc.. 16" and 17" are stock tacoma wheel sizes anyway.

So stock size being on the 16" wheel is 265 70 R16, and one size larger would be 265 75 R16. So no need for a new alignment? Just making sure I take care of my truck and tires. Thanks.

If you’re changing you wheel tire combo I would suggest getting an alignment especially of you haven't had one for awhile. Its just another $60 to make sure no weird wear will occur.

Nope, has nothing to do with the alignment. Just install the TPMS modules, get the new wheels and tires balanced, and you're good to go. I have no experience with the size change as far as rubbing issues, so that may be something to check as you are going up on sidewall height very slightly. If you are worried about the alignment, just have a shop check it, most times it's free. I feel that if your alignment is currently good, there should be no issues.
