I installed those with the oem pads on my 2001 tundra after warping 2 sets of brake rotors. The difference was night, and day. No more warped rotors, or worn brake pads in 20k miles. Stops were so much better. I didn't but these from summit, but the cost was about the same.
As far as the tacoma, it seems the stock setup is pretty decent, not needing any aftermarket brakes.

I can tell you from my experience with those ebc drilled, and slotted rotors...they flat out work a ton better than the stock solid rotors. I even ran them in short stretch's of mud everyday on my 2 mile road during the winter, and spring months. I've heard the choice of pads can lead to poor performance with these rotors but, i used the stock toyota brake pads. I checked them with nearly 90k miles on these...plenty of brake pad material was still left.
