How about the people who choose to go there and come back. Have them quarantined over there.

I've done a lot of work in sub-sahara Africa and some of the places would not let you leave the site until your blood work was clear. They checked your temperature and took blood the evening before you were due to fly out and if you were ok, they would let you go to the airfield, if not you stayed under observation.
This was primarily because a lot of expats would end up dieing once they got back to western civilization and then the symptons of maleria, dengue or yellow fever or whatever else you could catch over there would start to show and they would be misdiagnosed in the hospitals. They would give you a maleria kit to take care of yourself if you came down with symptons once back at home. The real concern for me was the 7 to 25 days for most of these lovely things to start showing external symptons. Thankfully I never had an issue, but it was a worry for about a month after I got back...
The more you know the better off you are...

There's been studies done and they believe dogs are able to carry and spread ebola. Dog eats scrumptious vomit, then comes home and passes virus.

So for all of you who say it cannot spread here, read this.

For those that want the short version. The Dallas patient went to the ER the first time and was sent home with meds. He supposedly gave them travel history too. The SECOND time, he puked outside his home and was transported via ambulance to the ER. As a result, 80 people are now being observed for signs and symptoms.

This happened because the hospital failed to get travel history and to recognize that their patient might have been exposed to the virus on his first visit to the ER. And if it happened in Dallas, it can happen anywhere.

What are the chances any of those 80 people will become infected? Don't know.

The pt flew to Brussels, then to NY, and finally to Dallas. Whether he was symptomatic or not at the time is unclear.

Not going to lie, shit like this makes me nervous. Not so much I'm not going to live my life, but it scares me because I have kids. This and that Enterovirus 68.

I don't want to sound cold hearted, but IMO if an American wants to go over there and help, then they stay till its gone. And no one from there is allowed here or anywhere else for that matter. Shit spreads to easily, and it has to stay in one place to stop it.

So there's no way that an infected person could sneeze in his hands and touch public surfaces? Or have some residual vomit or something on his skin and touch public surfaces?
